Hello All,
just wanted to share my Finger Printing Experience.
I am july 2nd filer, EB2.
NSC -CSC - NSC case.
Got my FP done today,
however I noticed that on my ASC notice, my SSN has been printed incorrectly.
I called USCIS and made the correction.
I was surprised & furious at the same time, by seeing this mistake from USCIS.
Their system is so bad, they are not even verifying the Name to the corresponding SSN. Had I missed to notice, I would have been stuck either at FBI name check or by a querry from USCIS later for a long long time.
Already the wait is long enough.
Anyways, dont relax just seeing your EADs and APs, watch every detail on whatever they send.

I believe that this forum was created as platform for all we guys who have been waiting in queues for long times to get thier Green card.This is place where we can learn & distribute information to help fellow members. We should respect this forum ,moderators, senior members who try to guide us for any of questions,doubts. Lets all be one & try to be on the same page & common mission instead of using abusive language,trying to fight , or anything which would divert our attention & waste time for other in cleaning up this mess.
I'm sure we all are well educated , grown ups who can decide whats right or wrong.

I surely may have missed something here. Has been a bill placed already that will allow us to file 485 and get EAD?
Sorry, I am really having tough time coming to IV these days.
Its law the day when it is signed by the president unless there is clause in the bill to postpone the impelmentation.

a recapture helps everone by moving the line forward and making dates current. there is also a parallel effort on to bring changes like 485 filing without PD being current. so no one ie being left behind or ignored. these efforts will help all of us affected by retrogression and stuck in different stages.
If IV can help this (apply for I-485 without having current PD) proceed in anyway, I would be so happy. I got married 2 years ago, my wife is a finance professional, an employer in US applied a H1b for her, ended up getting rejected in the lottery.
I had just (during the open I485 time frame) then switched employers and my employer filed for labor which never got cleared in time (actually still isnt cleared - random Audit).
So my wife and me are shuttling between India and US to even meet each other.
Have been in US for 9 (with 2 masters and 5 years working) years now, still no way of finding a visa for my wife to work.
I work for one of the big Biotech guys and kind of like my job, otherwise working in India along with the wife looks very intriguing

Coincidentally, I had called today and spoke with an IO to check on the status of my 485. He said that within 30-60 days it should get assigned to an officer. Would this have any bearing on the new status message? I see an LUD with today's date.

This is my first contribution of $100 to IV as a new member. I urge my fellow members who have not yet contributed to do so and strengthen the efforts of the IV to get some relief for legal EB immigrants before congress adjourns. I hope IV will keep up their good work and more members will contribute. It could be any amount, please do so. This is our last chance to have something done. Believe me there wont me talk of immigration reform after the November elections until after 2008 elections.

Received the following RFE on H1B Extension.
1. copies of signed contracts between the petitioner and XXX (my name)
2. a complete itinery of services or engagements that specifies the dates of each service or engagement, the names and addresses of the actual employers, and the names and address of the establishment, venues, or locations where the services will be performed for the period of time request; and
3. copies of signed contractual agreements, statements of work, work orders, service agreements, and letter between the petitioner and the authorised officials of the ultimate end-client companies where the work will actually be performed that specifically list XXX (my name) on the contracts and provides a detailed description of the duties the beneficiary will perform, the qualifications that are required to perform the job duties, salary or wage paid, hours worked, benefits, a brief description of who will supervise the beneficiary and their duties, and any other related evidence.
NOTE: The evidence must show speciality occupation work for the beneficiary with the actual end-client company where the work will ultimately be performed. Merely providing contracts between the petitioner, through any other consultaants or staffing agencies, to an ultimate end-client.
My employer is a small consulting company for whom I work on corp-to-corp positions. Now my employer is saying that he cannot reply this RFE and asked me to work on EAD. I would like him to atleast reply the RFE. Any advise in this direction would be highly appreciated. Need to reply by Jan 29.

Dude the person apparently not in good mental state. People do crazy things with they are in such situation. Who knows what went wrong. May be he felt that his family would suffer without him and incorrectly thought to take them with him. He seems to be caring father until this tragic event. Please stop pointing finger and pray that god be with the families who lost them.
I totally agree with u we dont know what situation that guy must be to take this decision..Here people gets panicked when they dont get their EAD card and Advance parole in time. So guys just pls pray that his soul gets peace...

I can understand the anxiety. I have similar concerns but you cannot do much when your luck is involved. No matter the amount of scrutiny or verification you do on your part, if your luck is not good, there may be rejection. But they will not reject, they will issue NOID. You have time to appeal etc etc.
So chill out. Enjoy AC21 (the bill was passed to provide relief, not give more tension).
Do not worry too much about what can happen tomorrow. Enjoy today. Enjoy this month. Enjoy this year.

Abusive behaviour wont be tolerated here at all.
Let us be focussed on the much needed Action Items. We need participation from IV'ans and we need more volunteers. The people working on putting the Action Items together, ppl. meeting/calling the law makers,
ppl. working on fundraising are all the same people and unfortunately we only have 24 hours in a day just like everyone else.
Thanks to all the gurus in IV ...last week I was also being abused with these so called repos and i brought it into everyons notice....i'm so happy to see u guys taking step against them despite of ur busy schedule. thanks once again.

You can just walkin to Dr Stern office. Even if you have an appointment with them, you may have to wait 0.5-1.5 hours depending on the time you go. If you go on weekend or weekdays after 5 you may have to wait longer but afternoon should be faster. And there fee may be more than $350 if you need to get shots and xray. Hope this help.

Ok, let us be united. Let us work on getting USCIS to follow the letter of the law. What is it you ask? It is that the Visas be spilled over as required by the law. It is nothing to do against EB3 or EB2. The visa spillover suggests that the overflowing visas be issued to the most critically retrogressed queue (upon satisfaction of per country limits). Does it help Eb3 or EB2? Both, whenever there is a longer queue, that line is able to move forward.
Right now it is EB3 which is reeling under the incorrect implementation, and EB3s want to see it rectified, while the EB2ers demand Unity (knowing well that they stand to lose -- what was never theirs), I would not be surprised that EB2 raise the loudest voice of action (and no talks about unity) had the tables been turned.
So you see why I think the message of unity sounds so hollow.

With current situation in economy, I don't think our HR 5882 will be in the mark uplist. US govt has bigger problems than spending time for "recapture EB visas". I have no hope of recapture bill will be discussed near future. Sorry for my pesimistic views
