Does she need her H4 approved to have her prospective employer file the I 129? (or) Can she just provide the notice of action she received for her H4 extension filing along with her I 129 to show that she is maintaining status?

This is what the 129 instructions specify. I think that you will have to wait until the new I94 with the new dates is issued. Hopefully she will get it before April 1.
Change of Status.
In addition to the initial evidence for the classification you are requesting, a petition requesting a change of status for an alien in the United States must be submitted with a copy of the employee's(s) Form I-94, Nonimmigrant Arrival/Departure Record.

Unless you want a RFE get a new affidavit. It might take a day or 2 to get it from India but its worth it.

An overwhelming majority support 485 so going by your own reasoning IV might lose more members by not supporting 485. Dont try to act too smart. Lets just support whatever decision IV core takes and go with it.
I made a one time contribution myself but I have a feeling that IV is going away from the goal of increasing EB visas and just focusing on the 485 filing.Many people that have contributed earlier feel that by prioritizing the 485 filing over increase of EB visas, IV has gone away from atleast some of stakeholders .The stakeholders were promised initially that increase of EB visas would be a top priority or atleast on a even keel with any other objectives, but now we are in phased approach.I have talked to lot of people and the feeling is same.

The IV is about issues/problems of employment based immigrants, and the goal is to get support as much as possible from every corner in this country to further the cause. Everyone who supports this cause fit in to some category (within legal limits - pro, anti, this group, that lobby, this ethincity, that nationality, etc.), and that does not mean we are promoting something or have preferences for a group. In my opinion any support (with in the legal framework) to the cause of IV from any corner in this country is welcome and should be appreciated.

What if you are working on EAD on pending 485? What would be the acceptable document?
I got the renewal showing no document (applied online)...the last time I showed Texas DOT any visa document was in 2001 - an H1 that expires in 2003 !!

I'll throw in my two cents and speak on behalf of the 300D. Though it does not have a metal body or a few other features found in the 10D and others, I find it to be a well-built camera that is more than meeting my needs. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, if someone walks up to me today and offers to trade a MKII straight up for my 300D, I'll gladly give it up. ;)

US - 8th year H1 , Approved I-140 , EB3 RIR PD April 2003 waiting for visa numbers.
Canada - I had PR Document (no PR Card in those days) , i am assuming i might have lost the status now. Tired to establish in Canada while working in US during Year 2000, couldn't do it for long.
Coming to Detriot -Windsor , i olny did it for a few weeks , Here's my Exp -
toomuch hassle everyday, extensive questioning in the border, delays and issue with Income /property tax / on both the sides, etc etc..
So i thought for a while and decided it doesn't worth the pain.
Stayed back in the US with a hope to get GC (before i have to get a sponsorship from my US born kid) and never been to canada since then.

In central NJ, I called over 9 Doctors and only two of them had an appointment before July 1st -2nd week.
One is Dr. Neil M.S. Estrella in Clark, NJ. Appointment was available for Monday June 18th. But the fees for the exam plus vaccines is $430. The second one is Dr. Marcel Stern in Piscataway, NJ 08854. Appoitnment was available for Thursday June 21st. The fees was more reasonable at $350.
If you're in Central NJ, Hurry, Hurry Hurry.
P.S - If some of you get other appoitnments in NJ, post here so that others will know and not waste time calling other doctors.

Discussing the way the immigrants are treated in this country is a very constructive conversation. Discussing the way of getting out of this situation is also a very constructive conversation.
Although I appreciate your (the core team) efforts and support them, we are still light years away from a quick and effective solution of the backlog and retrogression problems. All - government, Senate, Congress, Immigration service, big business etc do not care at all about the legal immigrants (better not use another popular expression :-). Do you need a prove for that !? And do you know why is that ? - because nobody "votes with the feet" and there is a permanent flow of "dreamers" hoping to get a GC. The big business is interested in guest workers, not in quick resolution of the GC problem - idiots like us cost less, do not dear to demand rights and are quiet and patient people who could bear a lot. And do not forget that the big business pulls the strings of the politicians.
Bottom line - the lack of negative feedback (voting with the feet for example) contributed to the current mess in the Immigration.

Question is not fees .. .there are no Visa numbers available.. what good will faster processing do?
